Learn to cut glass and create beautiful, unique glass cabochons which will be transformed into stunning, one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore various methods from cutting and layering glass to using vibrant colours and interesting decorative elements.
What you'll create:
- A selection of 3 stunning jewellery pieces of your choice (earrings, pendants, brooches, or rings)
- All pieces feature solid sterling silver findings (except for brooch backs, which are silver plated)
- Wearable art that showcases your unique style
Workshop details:
- Hands-on instruction in glass cutting and design techniques
- Use of glass stringers, millefiori, and di-chroic glass for decorative effects
- No prior experience necessary
- All materials and equipment provided
- Class cost: £75.00
- Tutor: Eilidh Mackenzie
- Class size: Limited to 10 participants per workshop
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Collection: Completed pieces will be taken away for fusing and can be collected from the Maritime Museum - Linthouse Building the following weekend
- Shipping option: Items can be posted to participants for a £7.00 fee (payable to Eilidh on the day)
