As part of the Year of Stories 2022, the Scottish Maritime Museum and Irvine Folk Club invite you to join them to raise your voice and tap your toes for an evening of traditional folk music inside Linthouse building on the picturesque harbourside in Irvine..
Bringing you some of the best traditional talent in the west of Scotland, you are invited to enjoy an evening of music, magic and myth with special guests 'Haggerdash' and performers from one of Scotland’s oldest folk clubs.
If this isn’t enough to tempt you, included is the opportunity to explore the unique Victorian venue of the Linthouse. Known as ‘the Cathedral of Engineering’ the Linthouse Engine Shop is now home to Scotland’s largest collection of maritime memorabilia and machinery, each with a story of its own to tell.
Come along at anytime after 16:00 to see this impressive building and its impressive collection of objects and the current Sea Monsters! exhibition. The music will begin at 18:00 and due to finish around 19:30.
Tickets for the event will grant you admission to the museum on the day to explore the recognised collection and the current Sea Monsters! exhibition."
